Alternatively titled, Pinterest strikes again.

Mom and Mary Sue:  please do NOT read this post.  There is a little Christmas surprise for you talked about here!

Ok, now that they’re gone…here’s another Pinterest project I finished this week.  And thank you guys so much for all the great comments on my Brewers wreath!   This project is even easier and I think you’ll love it.

If you’re like us, when you ordered or made your wedding invitations, you had a few extra laying around after all was said and done.  We saved one for ourselves, but I still had several extra that I wasn’t quite sure what I’d use them for.  Then, I saw this pin:

WHAT A CUTE IDEA!  I love Christmas—hands down, my favorite holiday—and this is such a cute way to preserve the memory of our wedding invitations.  I decided to make an ornament for us, my mom, my mother-in-law, and my grandma.

First up, here’s our invitations in all their original glory:

Go to the original blog post for the tutorial.  Christy lays it all out very nicely and her tutorial is so easy to follow, I don’t feel the need to regurgitate it here.  Here was my final project!

Super cute, no?

And here’s a project for those of you who aren’t quite as ready for Christmas to come as I am.  I was inspired by this pin:

Again, if you’d like the tutorial, please visit the blogger’s original post.  Kierste also has a great tutorial that is easy to follow.  I decided instead of monograms to use some graphics I printed from the computer, and here is what I ended up with:

These are those pie pumpkins from the grocery store.  I love the way they turned out, and this project was soooo easy.

I’ve seen that wedding invitation ornament and I’ve had it pinned forever – once I get my Christmas stuff out this year, it’s on the top of my to-do list! Also, your pumpkins are super cute – great job on both projects!

Do it! So cheap and easy to do and they look awesome. It’s a great keepsake and I totally plan on making these with baby announcements and party invites in the future! :)

I don’t know how you did that with the ornament but I love it! Pretty AND sentimental :)
