Cultural Cuisine 2012

March 7, 2012

You guys remember this event from last year, right? My brother-in-law is in culinary school and they do a Cultural Cuisine Event every year.  Students in the school form teams and create small plate foods encompassing each year’s theme.  This year, the theme was Olympics…and the food, as always, was delish.

The students also get to practice ice sculpting.
This was the ice sculpture for my brother-in-law’s team:  Team Beijing!

002

Team Beijing.  Don’t ask me what everything was, just know it was delicious!

003

Pork Taco, I think?  Delicious, whatever it was.

004

Team Greece

005

Cannoli from Team Italy. I die.

006

Dessert from Team France.
They had tons of chocolate stuff too but I went straight for the macarons (obviously).

My brother-in-law, Jeff!

I love this event.  It is a great time to try new foods and sucker Jeff into making them for us see what Jeff is learning at school!

What have you guys been up to lately?  Anything fun and unique like Cultural Cuisine?

It looks like a lot of fun! Jeff should be proud of himself…I know I’m proud of him!
