A Very Pinterest Christmas: Wait, what?!
Yep. I’ve got one more post for A Very Pinterest Christmas for you. And yes, I know it’s April. But this project has been sitting on my desk for awhile and I finally got around to completing it last night!
It’s a Christmas Card book! I was inspired by this pin:
…which was pinned from this blog.
And here’s mine:
So here’s what I used to make this project:
Christmas cards, cardstock, a gluestick, a hole punch, scissors, and some of those round jewelry clips you can buy at places like Michael’s.
I just organized my Christmas cards…
Do you recognize that blogger in the photo card on the right?!
Started punching holes…
Strung them together…
And poof! A Christmas Card book to display each year.
This was an easy peasy half hour project and I am excited to do one each year. I wish I would have heard about this earlier so I could have kept ALL of our past Christmas cards! What a fun way to look back on the holidays. I’ll display these books on our coffee table for Christmases to come.
Be sure to check out the original tutorial here! And Merry Christmas…er, Happy Spring Break. Haha! [Don’t forget, you can see all my Christmas inspired posts here.]

Haha – thanks for the shout-out (and for keeping our anonymity!). When I read this post I was thinking “ooh, I wonder if I’ll see my card!” and when I did I got pretty excited.
It’s the little things, I tell ya!
Great project – I always feel so badly about throwing away people’s cards. They put so much effort into picking them out and sending them…this is a great way to save them!
Great little project! So much better than a pile of cards on a table, or overloading the fridge door with them!
Love the idea. I always hate throwing away Christmas cards, especially the special ones! I still have the last Christmas card that my mom last sent to me back in 1979. I’m going to make two, one from last year’s special cards…..and then one from the past (using the cards that I’ve been saving).
Thank You so much for passing on this great idea!
Sherry
PS: Maybe I’ll also make one of my past Valentines Day Cards from my husband, so that they are all together.
I love this! I would have loved to do this with Raffi’s birth cards. Too bad I already tossed them!
This is such a great idea – I need to start doing this for all occasions that I get cards for. I hate throwing cards away but never know what to do with them so they always end up in a random box somewhere until I discover them years later.
