DIY: Diaper Motorcycle
Tomorrow, we’re throwing a baby shower for my best friend. She’s actually already had her baby girl, but she elected to wait until after baby was born to have us throw the shower for her (she had a big family shower prior to baby’s birth). So really, this is essentially a “baby meet & greet,” but we’re calling it a sprinkle shower. ANYways, this is one of her gifts, that we’ll also be using as decoration at the party:
That, my friends, is a diaper motorcycle. I think diaper cakes are getting kind of overdone these days, so I thought it would be cool to do a little something different. I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!
I used this tutorial and it couldn’t have been easier to follow. The whole thing took me about 45 minutes. The diaper motorcycle contains 1 full pack of Pampers Swaddlers (size 2, since that’s what baby girl is starting to wear now), two baby bibs, a washcloth, a baby bottle, 2 receiving blankets, a chain link toy, a pair of socks, and a stuffed animal. I put the rest of the materials (the other washcloths, chain link toys, etc.) in a gift bag to give to B as an extra gift!
So, next time you’re invited to a baby shower, consider making this as a gift. Be sure to check out the original tutorial (and please, if you plan to pin this project to Pinterest, visit the original blog and pin from there. I’m so sick of people not citing things properly, and credit needs to go where credit is due—not to me but to the original blogger who came up with this tutorial. Ok, off my soap box now!).
Have a great weekend!

Gah, that’s cute!
Love it! Nice job.
This is awesome! I love that it could be used for a boy, girl, or “surprise” shower easily.
Yep! You just change the colors of the material used. It really was a hit at the party too. I hope more of my friends have babies so I can make more!
